Angel Bear Yoga

11:30-noon Saturdays, March 6th, 13th, and 27th & 10:30-11:00 Saturdays, April 3rd, 17th, May 1st, and 15th
Angel Bear Yoga is a children’s yoga program created to nurture the spirit of a child while fostering a sense of wonder and deep appreciation for nature. Both parents and children (aged 2 and up) can enjoy this quality family activity together while learning poses representing positive character traits.  This class is taught by trained Angel Bear Yoga instructor Lynette Walker, who currently works as a Parent Educator with the Parents as Teachers program at the Children’s Council of Watauga County. This class is free to members or with paid admission to The Children’s Playhouse, but registration is recommended.

 

Friendship Necklaces

3:30-4:30 pm, Wednesday March 10th.

Third Thursday Musikgarten Class

10:30-11:00 Thursdays, August 20th, September 17, October 15th, December 19, January 21st, February 18th, March 18th, April 15th, and May 20th
Come out for this introduction to Musikgarten for all ages taught by Alison Moser taught every third Thursday. Introduce your child to musical concepts through singing, dancing, instrument playing, listening games, and musical patterns.

Beginning this fall, purchase of a Musikgarten packet provides free enrollment to all 3rd Thursday Musikgarten classes for the school year 2009 – 2010. The home packet includes a high quality music CD of the songs we sing and dance to in class, an instrument, and a parent booklet. Songs, games, poems, and other activities found in the parent booklet provide ideas for playing musically with your child. The price for the music pack is $30.00. Be sure to order your child’s music packet and register for 3rd Thursday Musikgarten classes before the first class on September 17th.
