New Water Wall in the Discovery Garden!
Thanks to a gift from our very first intern Mary Ellen Laughnan and a grant from the High Co
untry Water Media Society, we have added this cool new feature to our Child's Discovery Garden. It was built by Rodney Underwood from reclaimed lumber and hand-harvested cedar and locust. Kids pump water, then experiment pouring it down the water wall and paint with water on the slate easels.
Show Your Heart for Watauga Nonprofits!
The last couple of years have been tough for nonprofits in our county. Our combined support from local Town and County governments, historically $9,000 per year, will likely be reduced next fiscal year by almost 75% to only $2,500 from Watauga County. If you would like to help us close the gap, click here to donate.
