Foundations Give $7,500 for Free Memberships for Low Income Families
We recieved a wonderful surprise on Giving Tuesday (December 2, 2014): The Ethel and W. George Kennedy Family Foundation/ Kennedy -Herterich Fund has generously donated $5,000 to the Children's Playhouse's ongoing scholarship program to provide free memberships to low income families and agencies serving children at-risk or with special needs. The Blood, Sweat, and Gears Foundation also donated $2,500 earlier this fall for scholarships. We are very grateful for this support. During the last fiscal year, The Children's Playhouse gave away 68 free memberships at a cost of over $14,000 to the museum based on usage.
In addition to all the daily art activities and play in our exhibits, we also have a few special activities every month which are free to members or with paid admission.Click here to see our program calendar.
