Green Mother Goods Sponsors Playhouse Baby Area!
Green Mother Goods, located at 116 W. King Street in downtown Boone is currently sponsoring The Children’s Playhouse. A non-profit organization, The Children’s Playhouse is a creative play space for families, located on E. King Street. For each cash sale in June and July, Green Mother Goods will make a donation to The Children’s Playhouse for its baby area. Yogurt Brigade: Help the Environment and help The Children’s Playhouse!
Finally, a use for those yogurt containers piling up in your kitchen! Yogurt containers cannot be recycled in Boone, but now you can bring them back to the grocery store and help The Children's Playhouse!
Bring your clean 6oz and 32oz Stoneyfield Farms, Dannon and Brown Cow yogurt containers to Earthfare, Lowe’s Foods, Harris Teeter, or the Children’s Playhouse, and help the Playhouse earn money from each container. We cannot accept Breyer’s or Yoplait because they are the wrong shape, but store brand containers are acceptable.
These containers will be reused by Terracycle for planting pots. What a great win-win for everyone! All proceeds benefit The Children's Playhouse, a nonprofit children's museum in Boone. For more information, call The Children's Playhouse, 828-263-0011.
GoodSearch
What if even a fraction of the $8 billion generated by search engine advertisers was distributed to nonprofits like The Children's Playhouse?
That is the concept behind a new search engine, developed by Internet entrepreneurs and brother sister team Ken and JJ Ramberg. GoodSearch.com – powered by Yahoo – donates 50% of its revenue, approximately a penny per search, to the charities designated by its users. You use it exactly as you would any other search engine and the pennies add up quickly – just 500 people searching four times a day will earn around $7,300 in a year!
Search the web with www.goodsearch.com, choose The Children's Playhouse as your charity, and money from Yahoo advertisers will go to The Playhouse! You can also easily add GoodSearch to your browser toolbar. Just take a minute to set it up and from now on you'll be helping The Playhouse every time you search!
