This High Country destination is located in Boone and close to Blowing Rock, Jefferson, Banner Elk, Wilkesboro, and Mountain City. It offers flexible hours for open creative indoor/outdoor play as well as great classes for kids and adults.
Come enjoy our Vet Clinic exhibit, Arts & Crafts studio, Meadow Room, What's Cookin' Kitchen, indoor Romp and Stomp with bouldering wall and more.

Playhouse Receives Record Number of Nominations for Great Friend to Families Award
We asked you to tell us about your "Hometown Hero" and you answered! At the 4th annual Great Friend to Families Award luncheon on April 21st, 11 High Country residents will be given Helping Hands Awards (those who helped children and families through their careers) and 12 will be recognized for their Helping Hearts (those who helped through volunteerism or philanthropy). From these, one overall winner will be announced and will get to designate $500 to go to the High Country charity of their choice. Click here to see a list of award winners and here to buy a ticket.

Parents Night Out Returns!
5:30-8: 30 pm on Friday April 20
Kids have a blast with wonderful ASU volunteers while parents enjoy a night out. Cost is $12 for the first child, $6 per additional sibling. Want to Earn a Free Night Out? Adult supervisors may bring their own children and earn a free Parents Night Out to use at a later date. Call The Playhouse 828-263-0011 to reserve a spot or volunteer.
