This High Country destination is located in Boone and close to Blowing Rock, Jefferson, Banner Elk, Wilkesboro, and Mountain City. It offers flexible hours for open creative indoor/outdoor play as well as great classes for kids and adults!
Come enjoy our Vet Clinic exhibit, Arts & Crafts studio, Meadow Room, What's Cookin' Kitchen, indoor Romp and Stomp with bouldering wall and more.

Winter Weather Policy
The Children's Playhouse does not automatically close when the schools close. We strive to adhere to our normal schedule as much as possible and will post any changes to our schedule on Ray's Weather closings. Thanks to Chip Finch and David Blakely for volunteering to plow our lot this winter!

Now Accepting Consigners and Donations for Spring Sale
The Playhouse Baby and Parenting Fair will be April 16-17 at the National Guard Armory. We are now accepting consigners and donations for our spring Baby Fair and Consignment Sale. (more)
The Children’s Playhouse is the Earth Fare Friend of the Quarter
We are Earth Fare’s Friend of the Quarter for January, February, and March. When you shop with a re-usable bag at Earth Fare, they will make a donation to The Children’s Playhouse. Sign on at the Earth Fare website (http://www.earthfare.com/) to get valuable coupons, recipes and learn about their initiative to fight childhood obesity. We are also partnering with Earth Fare to bring you these great cooking and eating workshops: Healthy Snacks for the Picky Eater and Lunchbox Winners.

Parenting with Love and Logic Starts March 23rd
6-8 pm Tuesdays March 23, 30, April 6, 13, 20, and 27th. Homework hassles? Temper Tantrums? Bedtime showdowns? Are these common problems at your house? Parenting with Love and Logic will help you raise responsible kids who are fun to be around. (more)

Parents Night Out is Back!
5:30-8:30 Fridays, March 19th and 26th, and April 16th
Enjoy some well-deserved adult time while your kids have a blast at The Playhouse! Ages 18 months-8 years. A peanut-free snack will be served. $12 for the 1st child, $6 per additional sibling for 3 hours. All proceeds benefit The Children’s Playhouse. Call 263-0011 to sign up.
Great Friend to Families Award Winner Announced
Pat Morgan was the winner of the 2010 Great Friend to Families award and he designated that the $500 be donated to the children's area of the Watauga County Library.
